Principle
The specimen was placed on an AGAR plate, and a piece of fungus plate of the same size was placed on the specimen. Then a piece of high-density polyethylene film with a thickness of about 10 microns was covered. Three layers of materials (the sample was in the bottom, the fungus plate was in the center, and the polyethylene film was in the top) were stuck together with a tapered steel ring.The test refers to acting on the material in such a way that it can move across the surface of the petri dish, so that the material is subjected to the combined effect of pressure and friction.
This simulation may be applied to the barrier material in the actual application process and the microbial penetration under wet conditions.
The microbes on the bacterial sheet penetrate the test material and migrate to the surface of the agar medium. And colony counting, quantitative evaluation of the penetration properties of the test material.
